Shadow Confessions Coming June 5...I think!

The countdown begins—Shadow Confessions: Raw Version releases on June 5th! Well, at least that is the plan. Was it May 29th before? Sure was. Here's the thing...

I've never been the best planner. I've never been the person who can calculate every detail down to a T. When life hits, I envelop myself in the chaos, and when I come up for air, I forget about all the obligations and deadlines I've set for myself on my personal projects.

Now, here's where I change the toxic pattern I've been following.

I'm not putting it aside for later. I'm not going to wait for a less busy time. In fact, I'm entering one of the busiest seasons of my life every year: June. End of school, end of Boy Scouts, end of baseball, end of all the things before summer begins. Such craziness.

But I'm still going to push through. I submitted my edited manuscript and cover for a new proof copy from KDP—which, despite previous claims, I'm actually going to be publishing with in addition to Ingram Sparks. I'll explain later why. I also submitted my manuscript and cover to Ingram Sparks and was approved for a proof copy. All things are still in motion and moving forward.

Will they all align before the planned date of June 5th? Maybe. If not, pushing my publishing date back a week is fine. It's not the end of the world.

It doesn't make me a bad author. It makes me new to the self-publishing world, inexperienced, and learning. It's one more step towards my goal of creating a creatively driven career. And I'm incredibly proud, no matter what date it ends up releasing.

So watch out! I'll be screaming from the rooftops when it's released. But we are at least days away now, and I cannot be more excited.

Until next time, dreamers,

The Writer

Welcome! I'm a poet, author, mother, and dreamer of creative works, sharing my writing journey for all to see. My work is raw, honest, and not always pretty. I cover the darker elements of motherhood and being a woman, finding beauty in the shadows despite the smoke screens we like to build to shield them.
Take a look around–I'm so happy you're here.

Let the journey
come to you.
